Great Lakes Shipwrecks
visiting a shipwreck is a trip back in time. often they look much the same as the day they sank so long ago. why did they sink? did the crew survive? what was the cargo? where were they headed?
many are resting in depths that are well beyond recreational SCUBA limits and require highly specialized equipment to visit and image. ice cold water, poor visibility and long decompression schedules are just some of the challenges involved.
