Judge Hart
it’s often stated that some shipwrecks are “frozen in time” but in the case of the Judge Hart, this rings especially true. much of the damage that occurs to a shipwreck happens during the initial storm and sinking, with equipment being crushed and collapsed. the Judge Hart was encased in ice before it sank, and this provided a protective layer that kept structures and artifacts in place for her journey to the bottom. the soft sediment of Ashburton Bay cushioned her landing, and today she still looks much the same as she did in 1942. 58m/190 feet deep
